Kinder Blog 30 Oct.

Hello Kinder!  I hope you all had a restful fall break.  Welcome to Q2.  We are very excited to have more scholars joining us in the classroom.  To our DL students, we can't wait to see you in the classroom as well.

Joke of the week:
A squirrel, a bird, and a monkey are racing to the top of a coconut tree. Who will reach the banana first?

Last weeks answer:
She asked him if he was asleep and he answered "yes" so he was clearly lying.

Did you guess correctly?

Unit Four, Order, has been completed and we are now moving on to Unit Five:  Shapes. This week we will be exploring 2-Dimensional shapes:  circles, rectangles, squares, and triangles.  Scholars will be learning that squares are a special type of rectangle and will have an opportunity to explore attribute blocks and tangrams.  We will revisit Elmer the Patchwork Elephant and complete a special project.  DL students will work on a color by number Elmer and B&M students will be painting.  The paints are washable but oversized t-shirts are welcome if you would like to send one in with your student for extra protection.

A Mother Goose Poem

Hey, diddle, diddle,

The cat and the fiddle,

The cow jumped over the moon;

The little dog laughed

To see such sport,

And the dish ran away with the spoon.
