Math:
This week in math we will continue to practice the art of joining subsets to create a total set using the mathematical symbols of +, -, and =. We will end our current unit with a test and then move into the exciting domain of subtraction.
History:
This week we continued our study on presidents. Next week we will learn about Theodore Roosevelt and First Ladies.
Science:
Do you know the biggest fish in the ocean? It is a whale shark. We will discover and learn to define the characteristics of fish. What do crocodiles, snakes, turtles have in common? What is the largest reptile in the world? We will discuss the characteristics of reptiles and compare fish and reptiles using the venn diagram.
Literature:
As we conclude with our “Story of Ping”, we will move on to new adventures with some other feathered friends. We will read through our new story called “Make Way for Ducklings”, and see if Mr. and Mrs. Mallard can find a safe home for their ducklings.
Our read out loud right now is Stuart Little.
