Math:
Last week we wrapped up our unit on sets and compared the number of objects within two sets determining which set has more and which set has less and by how many. The strategy used to compare sets is one-to-one matching. This week we will be immersing ourselves in numbers to 20. We will practice counting to 20 both forwards and backwards, writing numerals to 20 and breaking numbers down into tens and ones.
Kindergarten has kicked off the Counting to 100 club. Scholars become members of the club when they count to 100 without a mistake. They get as many tries as needed! Practice counting with your scholar this weekend.
History:
We will continue to learn about our government!
Science:Scholars will discuss pollution this week while we continue working on learning about taking care of the Earth. There are three main forms of pollution: air, water, and land. We will find out if we can remove all of the pollutants from the water pollution experiment.
Literature:
We will wrap up this week with finishing our work on The Story of the Jumping Mouse. Next week we will begin learning about Winnie the Pooh and his fantastic adventures with Piglet.
Our read out loud right now is Stuart Little.
