Math:

We will close our current unit on subtraction this week and then continue to hone our skills in mathematics when we start our new unit that combines addition and subtraction.

History:
This past week, we concluded our chapter on presidents. Next week, we will begin our study on different Symbols and Figures.

Science:

We talked about metamorphosis when we introduced amphibians last week.  This week we will focus on learning about the life cycle of frogs and butterflies.  Scholar’s will get to retell the different stages of their life cycle.

Literature:
As we continue learning about more tall tales, we will move from Johnny Appleseed, to Paul Bunyan.  We will have the opportunity to find out what he was known for, and why people told so many stories about him.

Our read out loud right now is Stuart Little.
