Kindergarten mathematicians wrapped up our unit on Numbers to 30 last week with a unit review. We are now embarking on our study of Time. Ordinal position is our first skill set followed by the concepts of Yesterday and Today, Morning, Afternoon and Evening. Kindergarteners will learn that large amounts of time are measured with a calendar while clocks are used to measure short amounts of time.

This past week we learned a new American Symbol: The White House.
Next week, we will learn about another symbol, The Liberty Bell!
Science:
Thank you for your support. We had a blast at our Object in the Sky-Space Celebration. We will be talking about attract and repel this week. Scholars will get hands- on opportunities to investigate using magnets.
We will continue in our Little Bear series and move on to our next book called Little Bear’s Visit. In this book, we will read about Little Bear’s visit with his grandparents and enjoy leaving about the fun things he does with them.
We will be reading 6 great works of literature as a grade level.
