Math: 

Last week we focused on addition and subtraction.  This week we will close our Addition/Subtraction unit with an assessment and turn our attention to numbers to 30.



History:

This past week we had the opportunity to learn about the American Flag. Next week, we will be learning about the Statue of Liberty.

Science:

Next week, we will do a fun experiment to find out why the Statue of Liberty is a greenish color now!

Also we are introducing our Objects in the Sky unit.  We will be learning the Solar System song.  Students will be able to understand and discuss the importance of the Sun and the Moon this week.  



Literature:

We have wrapped up our story time with Paul Bunyan and Babe the blue Ox.  As we continue to read more tall tales, this week we will move into the story of John Henry.
