I like to hop around
I am a tadpole when I am young
I am green and I croak
And catch flies with my long tongue
What am I?

Last week's answer:
An Owl

We tied up our unit on Time and have now begun our new unit:  Numbers to 100.  We will be counting to 100 by 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s.  Practice counting with your scholar at home.

Kindergarten is previewing our last unit of the year:  Money.  We have been sorting and counting coins.  Scholars will need a labeled baggie with 10 pennies, 20 nickels, 10 dimes and 4 quarters. History: This past week, we reviewed maps and globes, next week, we will review our continents!

Science:

We are learning that Science is built on the careful observations and creative contributions of individuals.  We will talk about Jane Goodall and The Wright Brothers.

Literature: What a fun time reading all the exciting Mouse Tales!  Next in our book called Mouse soup, we will read about a weasel who is trying to cook a mouse.  The mouse is trying to avoid being made into soup, so he distracts the weasel with stories.  We will see if the mouse is sly enough to out-smart the weasel. We will be reading 6 great works of literature as a grade level.
