Kindergarten Mathematicians will wrap up our Time unit on Wednesday and then we will move on to Numbers to 100. In this unit we will explore the different ways to count to 100: by ones, fives, tens and twos.
We will close the year with a mini unit on money. Please send your scholar in with the following in a labeled baggie: 10 pennies, 10 dimes, 20 nickels and 4 quarters. We will be using our baggies of coins in class to sort, count and continue to explore the concept of 10s and 1s. It is highly beneficial for each scholar to have their own bag of coins to fully participate. Please begin sending the bags in this Monday. Thank you.
History:
This past week, we concluded our study on American Symbols. The students concluded the unit with their Liberty Bell creation. Next week, we will be reviewing maps and globes and will be creating our own globe!

Science:
Let’s Rock and roll! We will introduce the three basic types of rocks. Please let your scholar bring a rock to school on Tuesday to observe and write about their findings. We will discuss examples of each of the three categories of rock: igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic.
