Greetings! Our Kinder Space Party is on April 29th. We hope you are working on your space project, which is due on April 28th. Parents, it is very important for children to stay hydrated when at home or at school, so please send a water bottle to school everyday. Thank you!

Math:
This week in math we will end our unit on numbers to 30 with a unit assessment. Throughout this unit we have focused on organizing sets of objects into tens and one and used place value charts as a visual and then finally writing the numeral that corresponds to the number in the set. After our assessment we will begin a new unit on time and will discuss ordinal positioning.
We learned about Mount Rushmore and reviewed details about the presidents on the mountain. Next week, we will be introduced to a new American symbol, The White House!
Science:We were fascinated learning all about the 8 planets. We will learn about stars and constellations this week and also our classroom planet. We are looking forward to our Objects in the Sky Space Party on 4/29. Don’t forget to turn in your Solar System Project on Wednesday 4/28.
Literature:
We
have finished the first Little Bear book and will dive right into our next one
called Father Bear Comes Home. Little Bear enjoys some time with his
Father, and friends as he goes on more adventures!
We will be reading 6 great works of literature as a grade level.
